INFANT
Ages: 3 – 12 months

Goals: To provide a loving, caring and safe environment where caregivers use routine activities such as feeding, diapering and playing as opportunities to interact with the infants as they learn about the world around them.

Curriculum: A loving caregiver and a dependable routine are a baby’s “curriculum”. What they experience around them is what they mirror as they grow. Our Infant Program provides numerous opportunities for infants to explore their environment safely. Infants learn through their own experience using trial and error, repetition, imitation and identification. Our caregivers guide and encourage this learning by ensuring that the environment is safe and emotionally supportive. Infants who want to play will always find a willing adult to play with. There is always a comforting lap to snuggle into for a story or song and there are always familiar, loving arms to hold the infants when they need security. The foundations of language development are put in place by our caregivers interacting with the babies and reading to them on a daily basis.

Among the many milestones that occur as your infant grows are:
smiling and laughing
rolling over, sitting, crawling, standing, climbing
playing Peek-a-Boo and other simple social games
responding to familiar faces and voices
babbling, imitating sounds, expressing emotions
beginning to understand simple words and directives
learning spatial relationships

It is our pleasure to provide a loving, caring and safe environment for your infant and we look forward to watching your baby grow.
